Sarah Merkling is a PI within the department of Virology. She was recently awarded an ERC Starting grant and leads a research group that investigates interactions between mosquitoes and viruses at the cellular and molecular level. She is also a laureate of the l’Oréal-UNESCO For Women in Science award and is actively promoting diversity, equity and inclusion in science.
