Research Fellow at IRCCS Istituto Giannina Gaslini, working in the field of Medical Genetics. With previous research experience at the Pasteur Institute of Iran, I am currently a PhD candidate in Pediatric Sciences – Medical Genetics at the Department of Neurosciences, Rehabilitation, Ophthalmology, Genetics, Maternal and Child Health (DINOGMI), University of Genoa. My research focuses on gene discovery, genomic data interpretation, and the investigation of rare Neurodevelopmental disorders.

I am currently working as a research fellow at the Medical Genetics Unit of the Gaslini Institute under the leadership of Professor Federico Zara. Our mission is to advance the understanding of gene discovery and uncover the molecular mechanisms underlying rare neurodegenerative disorders in pediatrics. We work on identifying novel genetic variants associated with these conditions.

As a member of the Rapid Response Team for Infectious Diseases at the Pasteur Institute of Iran, our mission is to contribute to the rapid investigation of disease outbreaks and emergency response operations. We collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to conduct epidemiological studies, identify pathogens, and assess the spread and impact of infectious agents. My role involves deploying rapid diagnostic tools, conducting field investigations, and providing data-driven insights to inform public health strategies. Our goal is to mitigate the effects of infectious disease outbreaks and contribute to national and global health security through timely and effective intervention.
