The Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Department of the Institut Pasteur is pleased to invite you to an afternoon of discussions on svoice, visibility, and the invisibilization of women and minoritized individuals in academic and professional spaces.

Invisibilization remains a major challenge for achieving equal opportunity and enabling everyone's full potential. Through two key sessions, we will offer a dual perspective as well as concrete levers for action at both the institutional and individual levels.

🟣 Introduction – 15 min

What observations have emerged within our own institution?

An opening session to set the framework for reflection, based on bibliographic references and data collected on the Pasteur campus within the framework of the GEP (Gender Equality Plan).

🟣 Session 1 – 40 min

What structural barriers and systemic issues still hinder full equality in academic and professional environments?

Experts from academia and the private sector will share their insights on persistent inequalities, power dynamics, institutional biases, and resistance to change.

• Marion Paoletti, Political Scientist, University of Bordeaux, Specialist in Power Relations and Gender

• Mariam Khattab, CEO of Mozaïk RH, Expert in Diversity and Equal Opportunity Policies

• Mathieu Arbogast, Sociologist, Project Manager at the CNRS Mission for the Place of Women in Science


🟣 Zoom – 15 min

Changing the game in research: What lessons does the RESET  Project offer (Redesigning Equality and Scientific Excellence Together ) ?

An immersion into the outcomes of the European project RESET: how to sustainably transform research institutions through an intersectional and collaborative approach.

🟣 Session 2 – 40 min

What are the concrete levers at the individual and collective levels to strengthen inclusion?

Mentoring, role models, communication posture, bias awareness, non-mixed spaces… a discussion dedicated to tools, practices, and dynamics that help individuals reclaim their place and voice in public and professional spaces.

• Irène Fasseu, Director of Economic Inclusion Development, Mozaïk Foundation
