The Maascc team is pleased to invite you to participate to a serie of two events on academic concours to explore two complementary perspectivesone from the recruitment committees and the other from the newly recruited scientists. 


Part 1: From the perspective of recruitment committees

Laurence Watier MSc, PhD, HDR is a researcher at Inserm. She is a member of the “Commission scientifique spécialisée” CSS6 of Inserm and of the Ethical and scientific committee for research, studies and assessments in the field of Health (CESREES). She is a former member of the Scientific Council of the French National Public Health Agency (Santé publique France, 2017-2020). She works/has worked with various public institutions as member of selection board for researchers or engineers, expert or consultant (Anses, DGS, Inria, Inserm, Spf).


Eduardo Rocha has a MSc in Chemical Engineering and another in Mathematics, a PhD in Bioinformatics and an Habilitation in Biology. He heads the Microbial Evolutionary Genomics lab at Pasteur Institut in Paris. He studies microbial evolution using computational and experimental approaches. He has participated in hiring committees of Sorbonne Université, U Paris Cité, and U Aix-Marseille. He has led a CNRS hiring committee for 4 years and a COMESP committee for 2 years. 11 out of his 13 former postdocs have already a permanent position in R&D.
